As a fundraiser, we are going to participate in the Vons and Albertsons Escrip program again this year.  Since starting Escrip has contributed over $2000 to the program. As time goes on this will only increase.  Here is how it works:

Fill out the form attached to these instructions with 6 names either from Vons Club or Albertsons or a combination of both.  For Vons, we need name, address, and Vons, Pavilions, or Safeway club card number for each one.  We do need their card number not just their phone number.  For Albertsons, all we need is name, phone number and Albertsons card number that is associated with that phone number.  Call friends, family and neighbors, anyone that you know shops at Vons and Albertsons.  For those that gave names last year, we need different names.  When these people use their Vons or Albertsons club card a percentage of their purchases will go to the soccer team.  It does not cost them anything; the stores donate the money to benefit the school.  This is at any Vons or Albertsons they shop at not just the ones in our area.  One thing you might hear from prospective sign ups is “I always use my phone number, I don’t know my club card number.”  They can call Vons directly at 18777233929 or Albertson at  8779327947 to get the club card number.

Another way to get names is to stand in front of a Vons or Albertsons and ask people for their card number as they walk in.  When you tell them it is for Saugus High and it doesn’t cost anything, they are usually very cooperative. If they tell you they have already signed up with another organization, don’t get their names because we can’t use them. When you have completed the form with 6 names return the to girls soccer mailbox in the office or you can scan and email them to schmidfw@yahoo.com or by regular mail to my home address 27827 Ron Ridge Drive, Saugus, Ca. 91390. We would like to have all forms filled out and turned in on or before November 15th.  Checks will be processed at that time by the Booster Treasurer.

Either way  you decide to go, make sure to put your name on the sign up sheet to get credit for all the names you turn in.  If you need more forms, click on the forms link on the web page at www.saugussoccer.com/escrip.htm.

If you think this will be too much work or won't have the time, you can contribute $40 instead. We will ask that you pay up front on September 6 and then will refund your money when you turn in your names. We understand the time constraints everyone is under and that is why we have given you this option. 

Here is a sample script for the girls to follow while standing in front of Vons or Albertsons

Soccer player says, “Hi, do you have a Vons/Albertson's club card?”
Patron says, “Yes.” 
Soccer player says, “If you will give us you name, address and Vons /Albertson's club card number a percentage of your purchase will go to support Saugus High School girls soccer team”
Patron says, “Does it cost me anything?”
Soccer player says, “No it is completely free and you’re helping out our schools”
